Hello Kevin welcome to the forum...It's all just a little fun..People make fun of my videos all the time..But that just makes it more fun for me. You take the effort and time to put the videos out the best way you can I respect you for this.
I would like to know how you came to all your conclusions of what makes a good survival knife? You based most of your points on the sheath and if the knife has a lanyard or not. I don't consider all stainlesses steel knives to be a bad choice for a survival knife.
Could you explain some of this in more detail ?
Thanks

Hi Kev ! Well dont expect, that your presence on this forum will stop making fun of you. Because your video is funny, all your videos are funny and you are funny. Here are men that knows lots of knifes, but unfortunately you aint it, cause you dont even know advantages of stainless steel. I dont respect you for posting your videos on net, because you are putting there tons of desinformations so dont be surprised people like me are making fun of you. Please dont take it personally, let it be... |

I agree with B-lord about the disinformation part about the survival knife video. Some of the finest knives are made from stainless such as Fallkniven Knives and the Buck Nighthawk is a fine very tough knife. It's 420HC stainless steel it's easy to sharpen and holds an edge just because it does not have a lanyard or a thigh attachment on the sheath doesn't discredit the knife in anyway.
I watched some of your other videos and there is some valuable info in some of them for the first time inexperienced camper. I believe your way off on the knife video and it will lead many to consider the wrong factors about purchasing a good usable knife. that one can depend on and use in ways that may save their life even if it is outside normal use or not.
Some people make fun of me mainly because I wear a Jason mask. I just laugh with them because I know what I'm doing is correct and consider the mask as a unimportant element. It has nothing to do with the knife I am testing. There are some people that don't understand the way I test a knife for me it's plain and simple and the answer is right in front of them they just choose not to see it. So stick around Kevin and learn just like I am learning everyday as well.

Kevin: When I started this site over 6 months ago I had to debate my position over and over again on Blade Forums. You should be willing to do the same if you fully stand by your statements and video. When one puts their theories and beliefs all over the internet for all to see. You have to expect people are going to question and criticize you and make fun of you. It's part of the game. In the knife world this is truer then ever. I have seen this first hand. Maybe no one has questioned you until now. I don't know if this is the case or not but you made your videos public and you should expect the public to question you.
As I stated on the very first post on this forum. I welcome all to debate me and my tests just as long as they leave the personal attacks out of it. Personal attacks are for when no one has a valid point to debate. |

Well man, am more than happy, that Kev has joined us.Its great that i/we can confrontate with Kev his opinions, because am not a person that acts at somebodys back, so am glad. The knife video makes shame on him, and am certainly not a first one who told him that, and is making fun of him.
The knife video is absolutely upside down, Kev you are not even right that "SURVIVAL" knife has to have a lenyard at the end of the handle. It is important part for tactical and combat knifes, for the case when enemy kicks you in your hand, to prevent losing the knife during combat. I use to put down lenyard from my survivals... Btw. you also dont have a lenyard on your Recon scout, but you are only happy to have the hole there. |

I am not going to debate my point or my opinion - because they are just that my opinion. Stainless knives, and knives made outside the USA are junk.
Being made here in the USA is more then just quality, its about jobs. These knife companies, just like a lot of other companies are selling out to cheap over seas labor.
I prefer a lanyard - that is one of my requirements for a good knife. All of you might be different.
Knives are like trucks, I like Toyota, some of you might like ford, chevy or dodge - its preference. There is no reason to throw insults about because I like certain items on my knives.
Anyway, I am not here for long. I saw the link to my video in youtube and wanted to see where it was being watched at.
Take care guys & gals. If any of you want to visit my site, please do - it is watermarked in the video.

Ahh yes, another gem joke. So you think knifecompanys outside Us are producing junk???
Well you are wrong. I give you few examples of knifes/ knife producers that are not producing any junk:
Fallkniven company is a swedish producer, and its model A1 is one of the finest knifes ive ever seen. Made by VG-10 steel, and is made by laminating the steel. One thing am certain of is that this knife is one honest piece, and i could continue to give you many more examples. .....japanese....and all that. I thaught you learned some new things about knifes since youve posted your knife video but i was wrong.
Where do you think is made your beloved Recon scout by coldsteel ??? Well its written on the blade: CHINA.
and many more...bushman, tanto series, all the cold steel knife are made in factorys all over the world: finland, japan, taiwan, china. So get your head out of your azz nub !
Btw. your car brand is also poor. |

Kevin: Cold steel doesn't make any knives in America most of their knives are made in Japan, Taiwan, or China but their still great knives. They don't make any knife in the USA that I'm aware of. Not all stainless steel knives are junk either. This is an old wives tale when it comes to knives. Some stainless steel is garbage but there are many fine Stainless steels out there today. VG-10 S30V 154cm ATS-34 and many more.
VG-10 is also very easy to sharpen one of the easiest to sharpen period much easier then most carbon steels and it holds a great edge.
Where a knife is made is not important as long as it's made right. Your statement about American jobs has nothing to do with the knife. Just like a thigh strap on the sheath has nothing to do with the knife.
Busse knives are considered one of the finest made knives in the world and they don't even come with a sheath you have to have one made for it or purchase a ready made one. I guess you would tell people to stay away from Busse because it doesn't come with a sheath ?
Your more then welcome here.
