Funnny !! I was waiting for a gator to come out of the water and grab him like in Jaws. This guy based a good survival knife on the sheath mainly. One should never judge a knife because of the sheath it comes with.
Mainly the only points he chose to focus on was if the knife has a lanyard and the sheath has a thigh strap.
This is is a good one. |

Most funny part is: when hes holding Nighhawk and saying: its really not a good survival knife, made of stainless steel, its not holding sharpness very well... bla bla bla.
You should post him your Nighhawk destruction vid, how its cutting concrete and edge still good. |

I never expect the edge not to be dulled beyond use performing the concrete test. It shows how the steel reacts to hard materials and tells a lot about the steel. Is is brittle or not ? will the knife break, such as the BK9 did. If the knife can survive this then one should never worry about chopping hard woods with it.
The Nighthawk is stainless but it is very tough one of the toughest knives I have tested. But it doesn't have a lanyard hole so I guess it isn't a good tough knife and it doesn't have a thigh strap on the sheath. Damn I got screwed.

He doesn't know anything about knives but he knows about sheaths. I thinks he needs to start the website... sheath tests.com I've been watching some of his other videos..DAMN THERE FUNNY !! I knew a guy like this once. If you you hammering a nail in a board he would stop you and tell you how to do it and give you a 20 minute lecture about nails and hammers.
A lot People say then thing about me though and my site but I know how to use a hammer. I just don't use it on nails. I don't want to ruin those pretty zinc plated works of art. |

Yes there are more funny vids, like rifles to defend your family, or water in wilderness. I couldnt stay a one minute with this "Kev" in the wilderness.
But its even worse, this guy has his own site with his clever ideas, but i dont recomend that, the fun is over, the site is starting to make me sad, so i cant stay there more like few seconds.
Only good thing about this guy is that he recomends cold steel. Truth is he knows nothing about knifes especialy stainless steel. I would send him to go diving in the sea with his recon scout to see what should happen. The carbon or stainless is like clothes for diferent weather. You have to adapt...thats how i do it. But i dont disapprove him for that, his probably searching for one universal best knife. That what meaby we all do sometimes...
Btw. his mama knows his playin with guns..? She should ban him internet for couple of years for that. I would sleep better at night knowing that. |

He has about 70 videos. The one above is the only knife video I think. http://www.youtube.com/user/survivalistboards He has a deer hunting story that is very funny. Welding videos that are funnier.
He seem like a friendly good old country boy and I'm sure he means well but they are funny to watch. |

| Speeking of Man Vs Wild does anybody know what kind of knives he uses? I can never get a good look at them. He always seems to have a diferent knife on every show. Also what's up with that ankel sheath he uses, that does not seem to be a good place to carry it if you ask me. |

Thomas: I already drilled lanyard holes in all my knives, So I'm ready for whatever the world wants to through at me.
I haven't seen to many episodes but they look like Gerber folders. |
