The FN Five seven is a awesome pistol, very hi tech. It's a great round. 2,100 FPS. A nice setup.

Damn supper nice 500 !! that thing is going to put out on Hell of a blast with the 4" barrel. looks like fun. Let me know how it shoots ?

I shot it the same day I got it and let me tell you this gun is not for the faint of heart. I shot it in mid day so I was not able to see the flash. The recoil was um well down right painfull!! I was shooting the Hornady 350 gr XTP JHP. I traded in my BFR for it. So far I like it a lot!!

I bet it does recoil with that 4" barrel. I need to get one. They look like to much fun. there are a lot of videos on You Tube

I saw a vid where a guy shot the 500 and the scope broke off. It left a nice half circle cut abouve his right eye!!

That would hurt. I have a friend in Alaska that bought the 500 most scope manufactures won't warranty the scope unless it is used on the 10 inch barrel only. He called a lot them to try and find one that would hold up to it over time.

You know what the S&W stands for in a .40 S&W.....Short and Weak! Sorry, couldn't help myself! Compared to that .500 most anything is short and weak!!
