Thomas, The Fehrman's are supposed to be brutal. Their made out of CPM 3V a supper tough blade steel. They do carry a high price tag but from what I have seen on the net their worth it.

They would make a great test.

Has there been any tests done on them? A friend told me about them only a few days ago. I like the look! I never herd of that steel before? Is there anything you could tell me about them?

This last link has some testing photos at the bottom of the page.

No Problem, They Say it is indeed tough and very wear resistant.
I going to get to test the steel soon on a custom knife being made and donated for a destruction test.

It should be strong. I haven't seen any tests on this. It also comes down to the design of the knife as well.. some designs are much stronger
then others using the same steel.

Same price as a strider and twice as much knife. Strangely inexpensive for what your getting.

I wonder how this knife is compared to the battle mistress. I hear the price is the same for the battle mistress if you order direct from Busse, the waiting time not withstanding.

I don't know how they would compare. I hear great things about both. I never really read much of anything negative about Fehrman knives.

I think for me, as tough as both are, it'd be which is more corrosion resistant. I think they're both tough enough as it is. especially with the guarantee eric puts behind his.

I would love to see one of these. I use mine regularly and it has held up without question. Now a hammer might do it in, but for 99.8% of users...It is more than you need.

I hear good things about them and the steel.

A Dull knife is always better than a broken knife.
