I posted this on another forum but what the heck, I'll post it here.

It would be nice if Noss could do a D-test on the RMD but here's a slight preview.

It's just digging through some wood and skinning some fruit.

I really haven't done to much with the RMD (well actually if you count digging a whole 5+ inches deep in a cedar tree then I have done something).

I got some boards from the last palette destruction that I did. I felt like working the tip (don't know why but the tip on this knife has done more work than the edge).

Here we go!

Getting some pretty good sized splinters popping out.

After a quick minute or two I got all the way through.

Tip is still fine.

The dug a pretty decently sized hole in the board.

WHOOO!!!!

Let's do it again!!!

After another quick minute the tip made it to the other side.

The aperture wasn't large enough so I went at the wood some more. This happened:

WELL THAT WAS A FAILURE!!!!

But the tip is still good.

I had an extra board so off I go again.

This RMD is crazy good at digging in wood.

In another minute the RMD punctured through.

Tip is still good. YAY!!

So after that I became hungry. Off to the kitchen it is!!!

The victim:

This is gonna be fun.

The skin on this Pomelo is thick!! I had to make several slices before I got to the meat.

Look at the thickness of the skin compared to the RMD!!

MMMM, fresh fruit is always good.

The pomelo was exceptionally good. It was very sweet and tangy with a slight hint of papaya (an odd characteristic in this one particularly).

Enjoy!!!

The wood broke so soon. A catastrophic failure so early in the test. I'm sure that on some wood working forums the chips are going to fly.

LOL I'm sure the wood forums are going to be pissed over this.

Sharp: Good job. That RMD looks fantastic. I would love to test one but they are so hard to come by. It's cool to see you testing it
out. We need more of this.
