Yes, that'is right, the tip is fairly thin. I'll make few shots as soon as possible.
I have had few benchmade knives (CSK I, Pika, outbounder, presidio) and it is the first time I am disapointed with one of them. it is also the first time I am seeing a benchmade knife with such a poor finishing.

| Great photos. I can't get over the sheath. That it is so poorly made. It seems like an indication of the knife in it. I can't believe that Benchmade's quality control could allow such a home made looking sheath pass. Maybe like so many others they are giving in to cheap manufacture to maximise profits. Working on the theory that the name not the quality will sell the product. |

I agree with you : I think there is so much competition in knife industry today that few brands may have the temptation to decrease their products quality.
Though, it is amazing to see benchmade doing that, whereas brands such as CRKT, with low prices,manage to keep a good quality production i know they use low materials)

Thanks for the photos. That's sad. I doesn't look like one can get to rough with that blade. Damn man that sheath looks horrible. I have seen leather sheathes that came with 20 dollar knives that look a hell of a lot better then that thing.
I just bought a Condor swamp machete and it came with a huge leather sheath and the quality is A ++. That is disappointing about the Benchmade. I looks like they have a some QC issues.

Thanks for the heads-up...I just handled one the other day and almost bought it (blade marked "First Porduction Run" or similar such nonsense). I have to say, the stitching on your sheath appeared better than the one I handled in the store!
I was expecting a "beefier" blade but this one feels like a lighter Ka-bar (no slur against Ka-bars but not my favorite design for hard use).
The handle surprised me too, it was thinner than I expected (not as thin as a CS Kobun's oval grip but definitely not hand-filling in the least).
Noss, not sure if it's a QC issue but rather an attempt to market a GI-type/outdoor/all pupose survival knife in carbon steel coupled with a poor attempt to copy a sheath similar to Gerber's clasic Vietnam era MK I fighting knife and to price it well under $100. I think BM may have missed to boat on all counts. The asking price on the one I handled was $70...glad I passed.

Yes, you are right. In fact, I ordered this knife through internet, I had not handle it, trusting BM. What a mistake...
