Here is the new RC-4 from RAT Cutlery.

This is just a picture thread for now. I will be doing another thread as you all know with more action real use pictures while hiking and backpacking in California and Arizona. I have been thinking of this knife since December 2007 and have my own self proclaimed hype for this knife. Just wanted to share these for now.

Let me just say this is the most comfortable knife I have handled. Rowen Manufactoring is top notch!

On with the show.

RC-4

The best sheath out there. More carry options that any other sheath period.

Top Quality.

Rounded Pommel.

Sheath comparison.

Size comparison with similar sized knives.

Handle size.

Blade shape.

Whittling is the first thing I do with a knife. I was going to wait for the test thread but I couldn't. Do you blame me?

Small fine curls.

Edge Geometry at its finest.

Hope you liked it.

I got to say thanks to Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall for coming up with such a high quality American Made product!

Looks like a fine knife. I like the sheath also. Thanks for posting. How hard are the knives to come by at the moment

Pretty hard since the places that are still waiting for their shipment are already sold out.

What's the steel?

I thinking of getting a small and tough fix blade.

No EMF, the RMD is a medium-small sized fixed blade.

OK, nvm, I guess mean to get a really small fix blade like a Fat Warden or Off Duty.

I want a Fat Warden so badly!!!!!

Looks real nice!

I need one.

Thank you for the pics.

Hows the sheath? Does it hold tight without the strap? Is it comfortable to carry?

Does the tang have cutouts under the scales?

xxo,
The sheath is the best I have ever had. I don't use the velcro and it is kept real tight with just the kydex.

Nice pix. Are those modified pummels? And does the kydex sheath have a drain hole? Great blades anyway, if I wasn't that much sucked into Böker and Emerson, I'd probably get one. Which organ do I have to sell to buy one?

The pommel is rounded. There is a drainage hole in the bottom of the kydex. Still got all my organs too.

Does anyone know if they are going to make some bigger blades. Like 8 to 10" blades.

The RC-6 will be the next one with a 6" blade. I know there is a hatchet and a neck knife after that. There is going to be an RC-5 with a 1/4" blade, it will be their first 1/4" blade. Eventually the RTAK II will be redone by RAT Cutlery too.
