Just ordered Böker plus Subcom, Trance, MPT, one of each, all black.
They are going to be the base of my Böker Chad Los Banos black collection , expecting them in 2 weeks.
The next step will be the ResCom, M-type and Hyper ... in black off course. It's a shame that they don't make Warcom and SubClaw in black.
Planning to complete the collection within 3 months, thought it seems a easy one, it's hard to redirect the resources (read: !!!) while planning to purchase a SOG Vulcan, a SOG PowerAssist, a Emerson CQC 15, a (maybe several) Böker Magnum Crusader.
Wish me luck, 'cause I'm planning to get them all before autumn next to a brand new LONGBOW .

Of the Bökers mentioned I especially like the Hyper-Trance constellation... A longbow along with the Crusader & CQC 15 almost makes you a pirate...whos dream is flying the Dutchman perhaps...with your new acquisitioned blades, I suspect you could arm such a crew too...
I dont think the Vulcan does your great taste just...personally I think its looks is a combination of to little and to much... I simply can't define it....

I'm flattered, however I don't have all of them yet, especially considering me being a student (philosophy, yeah a knife-crazy philosopher ) so the financial prospects aren't always as bright as they could be.
The longbow is pending, may purchase a compound (HOYT!!!) instead. Regarding the Vulcan, I did have my concerns (namely the sharp liners having a unhealthy appetite for human fingers), and will probably drop it in favor an Al Mar.
I have a brown felt ferdora, and when I wear it with my brown lether jacket and lether gloves, "Howdy" is the greeting that ppl shout out in my general direction(and if I wear my purple scarf in this combo, ppl will ask me how I like Brokeback Mountain )So the Crusader fits in the picture. Had concerns about the Crusader as well, mainly because it's made of 440c. Than a part of my only braincell reminds me 440c is actually quite decent and acts like AUS 10 IIRC. Expecting same level of finish as my Magnum 2007 collection, as the MSRP is the same. Nonetheless, quality controle might prove troublesome, considering the Crusader has a much bigger production units than the 2007.
On the CLS subject, I figured out a EDC package for me if I got the CLB blades I want and the CQC 15, VULCAN or Al Mar: main EDC (e.g. an Emerson) in the strong side (right) jean front pocket for emergency, the SAK traveler set/SOG tool on the belt, SubCom hidden on the belt as backup, M-type/Hyper in the fifth pocket, and if I'm wearing a bomber jack, the Trance in the left arm pocket (this may be "a bit" overkill). Now tell me if this configuration will fit my daily walk through the park (read:ghetto) or what
For descrete ocassions I might drop the multitool/SAK, and retire my Emerson in favor of the CS Bushman Bowie... j/k, the Trance/Hyper or SOG Flash I (I lost it , looking for something to replace it with).
For hypertheticall "armed to the teeth" scenario, I might wear a Kabar etc on my back like Crocodile Dundee, an Applegate/Sykes-Fairbairn, a boot knife, not to mention CS KUKRI and many more... (isn't it easier to take a gun??? )
Anyway, the boot knife I ordered in last August, the CS Spike Bowie is yet to be delivered, which I've already paid for. Damn CS has delayed the release for some unknown reason for several times. The dealer is telling me to choose from the 3 types available: regular, tanto or talon. Than I remembered why I chosed the bowie in the first place - cause it's not that specialized like those three. Now is my question to you: shall I ask for refund or wait a bit longer? Note: I paid 40, now the main stream retail price is almost 60 while the cheapest I can get is 27.

I say buy the QCV knives. You can get 400 knives or things they call knives for $69.95 you can break one a day for over one year. I just hope you have health insurance for all the emergency room visits.

The worst is yet to come - Arthur Schopenhauer
Don't know what I wanna become, did biochemistry last year, not my thing. I might become a biologist or psychologist, or become professional military officer... Tik-tak-tik-tak, getting too old , one year left if I wanna become more than a major, because the maximum age here is 24 the 4 year schooling. Or, I can make a career out of knife sharpening

My turn to educate you on the sere 2000: First don't let the 0.16 or so stock fool you...it's about the only aspect of this folder being impressive in any way...if you take a closer look on the point...it makes a toothpick feel cocky....this is obvious to anyone on closer inspection....the experienced folder eye inspects the linerlock; and will find it to fragile as with and due to the thin frame-liners....the last aspect and my primary checkpoint on every high end folder is the blade-stop wether a pin or another arangement. The clue is more area-less wear-less play...in the sere 2000 case; round stop-pin flat tang on the blade whereas the tang should be arc notched close to a half circle. In the 2000 case Al-Mar hasn't even bothered honing the coarse tang....in the old green beret or survival series the tang was coarse too, but here with more area due to their lock-back....
....So pleazzze, avoid get SEREously ticked off....

point=tip....crapp
Personally I've become more of a framelock fan, due to it being the best debris and mudd unlocking solution to my understanding....
My next purchase will be the cheap framelock Monochrome Steirer Eisen by Benchmade...
Dream-framelocks: Crusader Forge VF 01 (0.20 stock blade) titanium handles...Chris Reeve plain Sebenza also titanium.

Thanx for your advise, never held an Al Mar, just heard they made knives at the same quality level as Emerson/BM, and the sere 2000 design seemed a nice one to me. I won't bother to look at Kershaw/ZT, just don't like their designs. BM as a brand seems a bit too delicate for my taste. The BM you're gonna purchase likes nice, and isn't that expensive for a (BM, hence) proper built framelock, but the all metal handle is not my taste. My Buck Nobleman is also an all metal framelock, with entire piece coated with titanium, the lock is tight as hell. But after I mastered the technique to open the blade like an assisted open folder with the Nobleman, I can utilize the very same technique on every folder with a thumbstub.
I think I might give the Emerson CQC 12 the top priority, because Mr E. is about the swith the non framelock side of the folder to stainless steel, instead of the titanium they have used so far.
It's a shame that I live in an urban area, where I cannot test my blades in the forests (read:parks) without getting too much attraction from bystanders. The nearest real forest is a military terrain, training ground for the airborn, and it would be foolish to try out my blades there.
PS last time I was there, I saw three Apaches flying by in formation:COOOOL!

I agree with you regarding Kershaw/ZT....have you checked out Combat Elite they have a design reminiscent of the sere 2000... never experienced one though....
