I hereby sincerely apologize for failing to share my knives pics in the past, and here's something to make it up to y'all.

To begin with, my newest acquisition and EDC from exactly one week ago - the Emerson Mini Commander:

Then there is my French adventure: the Opinels:

(Note: all of them are No 8, although the upper one seems to have much smaller blade due to over-sharpening.)

My Bucks: Hartsook, Nobleman and Alpha Dorado

My SOGs: Field Pup and Flash I

My CRKTs (which I dislike): Triumph NECK and KISS Two-Timer

My another EDC - SAK Victorinox and assecories: Huntsman, Compass and Maglite

My Cold Steel fixed blades: Finn Bear, True Flight Thrower, Bushman and Bushman Bowie (Ordered and paid for a Spike Bowie, expecting it in mid Feburary)

My only S&W: Hostage Rescue Team Magnesium (Bargain, €19.95)

My Ka-Bar Short USMC:

My Böker Magnum 2007 Collection (No 1826 from the 1999 pieces made):

Comparing the spines of the Bushman and the Magnum :

Let me know what you think of my collection, and you can always ask me about the blades I have.

PS sorry for the bad lighting

Already posted it there @ itxploded.

Why?

To start with, CRKT has some realy cool and innovative designs. Nonetheless, because their designs come from outside knifemakers, the qualitiy of their knives in not uniform. Furthermore, almost of the time their daring designs only look good, and perform weakly: take the KISS Twotimer, a nice piece of innovation, but don't let the looks fool you. KISS stands for Keep It Simple System, and the Twotimer is everything but simple, with too many tiny parts praying for malfunction. Then there are the main problems like the treacherous opening mechanism of the blades, the practical non-sharpenable dull main blade.

Generally, their choices for blade steel can also be called a joke, mostly using obsolete steel sorts like 3CR13, AUS4 etc, and the best steel they use is the AUS8!!!??? (WTF, why not VG-10?). Besides, the double locking mechanism (don't know what it's called) featured on their higher end folders costs way too much inconvenience, if it profides any extra safety at all; the plastic handles on fixed blades do provide extra grip, but they feel terrible, and look like some partially smelt nylon wires; the coating on their lower end blades wear off too fast (within 10 serious deep cuts); as far as I'm informed, their assisted blades cannot be tuned, they always open with too much force, and once it caused me to drop the knife after initiating the assisted opening. (Don't mock me for being a wuss, try it yourself with a My Tighe or something, while holding it with grip like you would do on any other assisted blades)

However, one of the few bright points about CRKT is that they have specializied knives made for different desired groups, just like Wenger. At last, most CRKT blades are roughly in the same price ranges as SOG ... - do I still have to finish my sentence? (not jail sentence) :-p

Once again, I apologize for the bad quality of the pics, which I took with my mobile phone (or cell phone as you prefer in the US :-p) this afrernoon, and uploaded with haste before I went to work.

Nonetheless, if you do not agree with my views on the CRKT blades, I dare you to convence me in a (verbal) duel.

Not gonna use it though, way too pretty to use. However it is made to preform as a serious chopper with it's long recurve blade made of relatively soft AUS 8 steel.

If I knew it's such a great knife, I'd have bought TWO!!!

I once had this rascal, a nice small knife fits suprisingly well in your hand in both forward and backward grip. Came out of the box razor sharp. (tried it)Gave it to a friend (who lost it in a bar, and too shy to look for it), nevertheless, I am gonna to order this beauty to replace it:

Both designed by Chad Los Banos, Hawaiian knifefighter.

I like the way they formed the grips to the tang. It looks wicked. That the Boker SOCOM correct

Don't worry about the photo quality. It's all good

@ slipfirep40

The blade itself is quite neat, S30V, had a lot trouble sharpening it. Holds a decent edge now. The two sets of finger grooves give extra control and allow you to use extra force in both thumb and index finger reinforced grips. Nonetheless, the sheath has some inherent design issues. Wearing the Hartsook on a necklace means that the sheath and the blade are infront of your chest, whenever pressure is aplied on the sheath, the blade might fall off.
