The worst knife I have is my Buck Intrepid. I always thought it looked good until I started using it. It is a very poor performer in just about every area.

uf your buying just for the serrations (which is why I think logan liked it) don't.
they have so many other awesome knives with those serrations.
and those serrations are just about the only ones I can stand.

I'm way beyond serrations nowadays... (damn now I sound like a blonde American bimbo cheerleader) However, unless you mirror polish your edge, there will always be micro serrations on it, and perhaps those micro serrations contribute to the cutting performance.

There was a great show on the History channel on Modern Marvels called The worlds sharpest. It explained the micro serrations very well. Maybe someone will put it on You Tube.
