looks like a nice pistol. It looks a bit heavy and bulky for me. I have never owned one or fired one.

For concealed carry it seem a little big. I have never carried one so I can't say for sure. It looks nice. I was over at a local sporting good store with a friend and he was looking at one. The price seems very reasonable.

Well.....I hate the .40, just go with a 10mm, but the design doesn't look bad.

I am a firm believer in the Trinity:
Rifle .308
Pistol .45
Shotgun 12 gauge

Anything less would just be uncivilized!

With the 10mm you only have a few options that are made on a regular basis the Glock and EAA Witnes that I now of.

I'm with you on the 45 and with rifels I like the 30 cal offerings too.

I love the 45 my favorite is my HK Mark 23 It ain't no concealed carry weapon way to big and heavy.

I have an Eotech Halo sight on it and a vortex mussel break on it.

The Halo sights are awesome they are very quick and accurate. Also you can keep both eyes open during shooting and just follow the mark on your target. Fantastic weapon sighting technology.

Nice. I would like to get a 1911 Since they have started making some of them with ambidextrous safety's because I'm left handed.

Those Colt Defenders are nice. If I'm going to carry something something small & light, I'll carry my Kahr. If I want to carry a 1911, I have my Para Ordnance LW LTC (Basically a LW Commander).

BTW, did your Dad have any problems with his new Colt? Sometimes, 1911 models with barrels less than 4 1/4" "can" be problematic.
